Spirit

A human's spirit should not be confused with a spirit entity, though the two are similar on a basic level. A person's spirit is what connects the body to the soul. The spirit contains a person's thoughts, feelings, and emotions. It is who that person is on a day to day basis. The spirit also contains a person's health status, strengths/weaknesses, and spiritual awareness and is very closely tied to the physical body. A person's spirit doesn't have a physical manifestation like the soul, so it can't be seen by normal humans, but it can be seen by other Hunters in the form of an aura.

The spirit acts as a marker for the soul, to leave a trail of the journey one has taken in the physical realm. The spirit records the emotions and status of its owner on the soul, making the soul an individual and unique reflection of everything a person has done in life.
